Deep Sea Fishing with Clint Gower

Clint has fished the Wild Coast since he was a boy and has been deep sea fishing from his own ski boats for over 30 years. His knowledge of the launch and fishing spots, ensures excellent catches for both the table and tag and release experiences.

Years of marine conservation areas that have been protected by local ski boat clubs have allowed a wide variety of fish species to increase on the rocky reefs. Tagging a fish and then years later hearing about its growth and movements is a must for every ethical angler.

Our ski boat OBSESSION is a 21 foot Yeld Cat powered by twin Suzuki 140hp motors. It take 5 passengers, plus the captain comfortably.

Clint is out and about fishing etc during the day, so the best option to contact him is to send him a WhatsApp message with your name, number of fishermen in your group, and the dates that you are available to fish. He will then get back to you as soon as he gets a chance.
Price and Deposits.
Fishing trips are R1500.00 per person. Min 3 people + bring own valid fish licence and snacks. Includes tackle and bait.

Whether you are a serious fisherman or first timer, you will have an experience that you will keep coming back for.

Day trips

Bottom Fishing

We fish on average in water depths of 20 to 60m. Target species include Geelbek, Soldier, the bruitish Yellowtail and the ever tasty Butterfish. You may even want to test your strength against a shark (catch and release only).

Trawling the deep waters off the continental shelf ,in search of tuna and the beautifull Dorado one can be treated with sightings of dolphins, whales and bird life not seen from the shore. we have a variety of tackle and lure types to choose from for this.

Sightseeing & Birding

Photography trips

Getting the perfect photograph from another angle is possible from out to sea! From behind the breakers, the landscape changes and birds (some not seen from shore) and dolphins are plentiful.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

A deposit is required to confirm your booking. Fishermen are required to bring own valid fish licence and snacks. Price includes tackle and bait.

• Cancellation more than 48 hrs before the ride 75% refund.

• Cancellation 48 hrs before the trip - refund 50%.

• Cancellation same day- no refund.

• No show- No refund.

• Once on board and the client disembarks or abandons the trip for whatever reason - No refund, subject to the skippers discretion.

• No refunds will be made if persons arrive late for departure.

• If the skipper cancels due to rain or any other circumstance, he will make a full refund. All trips are subject to local weather and sea tides. We will call you and cancel or postpone the trip if we deem it unsafe or too unpleasant to launch.
